WHY SHOULD I REPLACE MY FILTER

Your shower filter works by trapping chlorine, heavy metals, and impurities that would otherwise come into contact with your hair and skin.

Over time, these contaminants build up inside the filter, reducing its effectiveness and allowing unfiltered water to pass through.

A simple way to monitor this is by checking the filter’s colour.
As it absorbs more impurities, it will gradually darken. Once it becomes noticeably brown or discoloured, it’s no longer performing at full capacity.

For most households, this happens within 1–2 weeks of regular use, depending on water quality.

WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY FILTER

Replacing your filter regularly ensures:
• Consistent protection for your hair and skin
• Optimal water filtration performance
• Prevention of buildup that can affect water flow

If you notice changes in water clarity, pressure, or the filter’s colour, it’s time to replace it.

Huge mistake people make

The market is flooded with 'Universal' filters that look like ours but lack the **High-Density PP-Cotton Core** required for real toxin extraction. We see it every day: Customers try to save a few dollars on a cheap imitation, only to find their water pressure dropping and the chlorine smell returning within 72 hours.

How to Replace the Filter in Your Aqua Lume Showerhead

Maintaining the Aqua Lume Filtered Showerhead is essential to keep enjoying the benefits of cleaner, healthier water for your skin and hair. One of the key maintenance tasks is replacing the filter, which ensures that your showerhead continues to function optimally.

Why Replace the Filter?

Over time, the filter in your Aqua Lume showerhead captures impurities, sediments, and other contaminants. While this is great for ensuring clean water, it means the filter can become saturated and less effective. Replacing it regularly—depending on your water quality and frequency of use—ensures maximum performance and extends the life of your showerhead.

What You'll Need:
  • A new Aqua Lume replacement filter.
  • A soft cloth or towel.
  • Optional: Rubber gloves (for grip).
01

Turn Off the Water Supply

Make sure the water is completely turned off at your shower valve to avoid any unexpected leaks or splashes.

02

Unscrew the Bottom

Locate the bottom end where the filter is housed. Twist the bottom section counterclockwise. Use a cloth or rubber gloves for better grip if it's tight.

03

Remove the Old Filter

Gently pull out the existing filter, taking care not to damage any internal components of the showerhead.

04

Inspect the Housing

Check for debris, mineral buildup, or blockages. Wipe the area clean with a soft, damp cloth if necessary.

05

Insert the New Filter

Align the replacement filter properly and insert it. It should fit snugly without force. Double-check alignment if it doesn't seat.

06

Reattach Bottom Section

Carefully screw the section back on by twisting clockwise. Tighten firmly but avoid overtightening to protect the threads.

07

Test for Leaks

Turn the water on and check for leaks around the bottom section. If noticed, tighten the section slightly more.

Enjoy Your Upgrade

With the new filter in place, your water is now cleaner and healthier. Enjoy the difference to your skin and hair!
